1568 Red aka Mao Feng Black Tea is produced at a 1,000-acre well-managed tea garden, the leading high quality tea garden and processing facility in Zhejiang province, China.

History & Processing Method

In the mid-sixteenth century, during the Ming Dynasty, the first black tea was invented. 1568 Red is a recreation of this traditional black tea processing method (Lapsang Souchong or Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong), with the addition of a few modern improvements. All processing steps are monitored by an experienced tea master. This creates a unique tea that is both new and steeped in history.
