Description
Rare, high quality tea leaves from a protected park situated above 5,000 feet in the Jing Mai Mountains. This Jing Mai Ancient Black Tea is made from the same trees as Jing Mai’s famous Pu-Erh.
The tea trees, which average 500-years-old, grow naturally–without the use of pesticides. This unique black tea exhibits rare complexity, smoothness, and wild rose fragrance, only found in tea from trees of this age.
The tea leaves are processed with high fermentation like black tea, then sun-dried and pressed into cakes. Aged since 2014 for a superior richness and body. (Cake weight may have slightly decreased due to years of aging, with a few grams of moisture released.)
