The farmer and tea master who makes our A Li Shan Oolong Tea has been growing and processing Oolong Tea for more than 30 years. His A Li Shan Oolong has twice won gold medals at the A Li Shan tea making skill competition in Taiwan.
High Mountain Tea Garden
A Li Shan Oolong is the most famous High Mountain Oolong Tea, and is named after a beautiful A Li Shan mountain in Taiwan. Our tea master has his own tea garden on the deep mountain. He handles every step, from caring for the garden to overseeing the picking team with his hardworking wife. The 1,300-meter elevation results in hardy leaves with a rich flavor.

Timing is very important when brewing oolong tea. Overbrewing has negative effects on the flavor, so it’s important to separate the water from the tea leaves at the right moment.
The quantity of tea leaves listed below can be scaled up or down depending on the size of your teapot.
Tea leaves can be re-brewed many times, until the desired flavor disappears.
Gaiwan Capacity: 6oz (175ml) Tea Leaf: about 7 grams
Wake Up the Leaves: pour hot water over the tea leaves and wait 5-10 seconds, then discard the rinse water.
Enjoy the Fragrance: this is the perfect time to enjoy the aroma released by the awakened tea leaves.
