Loose Ripe Pu-Erh Flavor Profile

Ripe pu-erh is also known as black, fermented, shu, or shu pu-erh. This loose ripe pu-erh has a flavor that reflects the Jing Mai wilderness where it grows:

  • strong

  • smooth
  • fruity

Very delicious and flavorful now, this maocha will also improve nicely with proper storage.

Our Jing Mai Ripe Pu Erh is made from 100-year-old trees growing wild on the slopes of the famous, protected Jing Mai Mountains. It offers sweet stream and forest aromas and pleasant, mellow flavors with notes of plum and a smooth, sweet finish.

Infusion: 30-45 secs
Notes: Pre heat the teapot before placing tea inside.
