Description

Unique Flavor & Fragrance

This tea is sometimes called Mao Feng Black, because it is made of small Mao Feng tea leaves. It has a strong aroma of wild rose and tastes delicately floral, yet rich and fresh, with a sweet, lingering finish.

Award Winning Tea

5 years after developing this unique black tea, it won gold medals two years in a row at the Chinese national tea competition in Hangzhou, 2019 and 2020.

Our Tea Garden

1568 Red is produced at our 1,000-acre, EU and USA Organic Certified tea garden. We are the leading organic tea garden and processing facility in Zhejiang province, China.

History & Processing Method

In the mid-sixteenth century, during the Ming Dynasty, the first black tea was invented. 1568 Red is a recreation of this traditional black tea processing method (Lapsang Souchong or Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong), with the addition of a few modern improvements. All processing steps are monitored by an experienced tea master. This creates a unique tea that is both new and steeped in history.
